We are holding a joint concert with East Coast Swing Band in memory of our much-loved and respected player Anne-Marie Purvis.
Anne-Marie was a saxophonist for both bands and also acted as secretary for Bede Wind. Her sterling work for the band included arranging our tour of Belgium in May 2025, where the photo above was taken.
Anne-Marie died suddenly at the start of this year and many band colleagues attended her funeral to pay their respects.
Proceeds from the concert, being held at 7.30pm on Friday May 1 at Cullercoats Methodist Church close to where Anne-Marie lived, will go to Tiny Lives Trust in Newcastle.
